Week Two: Funky Foliage!

Week Two: All Classes

Funky Foliage

With this project we used card stock in warmer colors against a backdrop of greens, blues, greys and browns. The fall trees were made by tracing and cutting out shapes of leaves and then with a sharpie, outlined and filled in with lines or patterns.

The instructional part of this project was implemented according to their age and skill level.  The goal for each group was different.

Youngest groups: Focus on tracing and mastering the skill of cutting on the lines.

Middle groups: Tracing, cutting, arranging and designing 6-7 trees.

Oldest groups: Tracing, cutting, arranging and designing many trees to form a forest.

Things to Remember:

The horizon line is where the water or earth meets the sky.

Don’t be afraid to make intricate patterns
