About Kelly Lyons
The things I have learned
from teaching art...
Kids will share if you show them how.
Kids will compliment each other if you teach them that it does not diminish their own talent.
Kids will gain confidence if you are patient and tell them that real skill comes with practice.
Kids will commit to something if they are given a chance to improve.
Kids can learn and not feel hurt when they receive constructive criticism.
Kids will grow if they are allowed to have interests in many different things. They can go to art in a sports uniform and leave class to go to practice.
Kids will still be engaged and have fun without electronics.
Kids can practice ANYWHERE. All they need is a paper and pencil.
Kids can excel in art…regardless of gender.
Kids who exercise the creative part of their brain are the future architects, chefs, computer innovators and researchers of the world. They think differently and they think big!
Kids will always surprise you by showing you something that is completely and uniquely theirs.
Art is important and will make them well rounded, confident and happy kids.
