Dashes, Plaids and Rainbow Hearts

We were in full swing for Valentine’s Day with this project! We created a variety of hearts using cardstock, acrylic paint and flat bristle brushes. The younger groups filled their hearts with quick dashes, older groups made rainbows that were painted in diagonals, lines and waves. The girls groups made smaller plaid hearts that were made into balloons and our last class of the week made large plaid hearts. Some designs required a steadier hand and others with the random dashes in colors that inspired them filled my heart!!
